Bash plate sets

A bash plate set covers several sections of the underbody in one order, usually from the front of the vehicle back to the transmission area. Buying a set means the plates are designed to work together and overlap where they should.

Why fit underbody protection?

Factory plastic or light steel guards are not made for repeated hits on rocks and logs. A steel or alloy plate protects the radiator, sump and other parts that sit low under the vehicle.

Material and weight

Steel plates are tough but add weight, while alloy plates are lighter. If you're also adding a bull bar and winch, factor the plates into your suspension choice. Many sets are made to order, with the lead time on the product page.
