What to check before buying wheels

  • Diameter and width: make sure they suit the tyre size you plan to run.
  • Stud pattern: the wheel must match your vehicle's hub.
  • Offset: affects how far the wheel sits in or out of the guard.
  • Load rating: should suit the weight of your vehicle when loaded.

Wheels and suspension

If you're fitting larger tyres along with new wheels, you may also need extra clearance. Many owners fit a lift kit at the same time. Also see spare wheel carriers if your new spare won't fit the factory location.
