Little Trees

Little Trees is the original hanging air freshener, the cardboard tree created in 1952 by Julius Sämann after a milk truck driver in northern New York complained about the smell of spilt milk in his truck. The company is still headquartered in Watertown, New York. More than seventy years on, the tree itself hasn't changed much, because it doesn't need to. It's cheap, it lasts for weeks, and it works.

Why every 4WD needs one

A touring rig cops smells a daily driver never will. Wet recovery straps, muddy boots, the dog after a river crossing, last trip's bait tub: it all soaks into carpet and trim. A Little Tree won't fix your housekeeping, but it will make the cab liveable between proper clean-outs, and at a few dollars each there's no excuse not to keep spares in the glovebox.

4x4 Offroad Centre stocks more than 30 Little Trees lines, covering a wide spread of fragrances from the cult-favourite Black Ice through to fresher options like Bayside Breeze. If hanging trees aren't your thing, the Airwash Spray Original delivers the same scent in an instant-hit spray format, vent clips and fibre cans offer other ways to freshen the cab, and value 3-packs keep the cost per tree down when you're buying for the ute, the camper and the daily in one go.

Fragrance is personal, so shop the Little Trees range and stock up. A Little Tree is one of the cheapest interior upgrades you'll ever fit, and by far the easiest.
